Dark black / deep ruby red porter. 1cm head on pour with medium retention. Malty caramel, bread, earthy, prune on the nose. Faint hint of vanilla. Nice deep hit up front in the mouth. Medium carbonation carries it through. Nice balanced sweetness not too thick. Coffee on the roof of the mouth. Nice lingering coffee and hop bitterness. Bit thin / watery in the mid section. Refreshing for a porter. Bit of a dark lager vibe.

9/8/2022. Bottle courtesy of Idiosynkrasie, cheers Boris. Pours clear very dark maroon brown with a small bubbly/frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, molasses, milky chocolate, light charcoal and ash. Quite heavy sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, watery, average carbonation. Sweet clammy sticky finish. Best of the four I had from this series, though far from perfect.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Roasty, dark malty and minimally fruity aroma, hints of dark chocolate, a minimally ashy, smoky touch, some dark fruit. Taste is sweet-ish, roasty dark malty, slightly caramel malty, minimally fruity, metallic overtones, hints of dark chocolate, dark caramel, a touch of plum, plum wine; minimally metallic finish. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth, minimally dry, minimally repellent, metallic palate, fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, passably multifarious - OK.
