Can shared with Joes. Opaque black color, full sized light brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, moderate roast notes, brandy / cognac, bourbon, boozy a bit, caramel, raisins, figs lightly even, but in the end a firm booze bitterness (but no maple??). I love these kind of beers. Awesome.

Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, coffee, maple, vanilla, oak, caramel and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Dark brown with a small tan head. Intense roast malt and bourbon barrel aroma with dark chocolate, coffee beans and dried fruit; vanilla, oak and a touch of cherry. Sweet and full bodied, dark flavour with loads of chocolate, dried fruit and barrel character. A nice after dinner Sipper. An excellent imperial stout with added barleywine qualities.

I'm a big fan of these barrel aged blends of barleywine and stout, can be the best of both words. This one is clearly up there. Heavy, boozy, warming with a nice smoothness. Little bit of maple, plenty bourbon, hint of coffee, some barley. Lovely.
