Can shared with the Mrs, Jan and Charlotte at Peders, Copenhagen - pours dark brown to black with a tan head. Dark sweet and light roasted malty with notes of chocolate and caramel, some dried fruit, some brown sugar, bold sweet sticky maple, full body, bourbon infused dark sweet malty into the finish. Lovely.

Can - labeled as a 12.5 abv blend of barrel-aged imperial stout and barleywine, so this should probably be un-aliased - aroma of maple, whiskey barrel, smoke - flavor of smoke, barrel/charred wood, chocolate, booze - heavy Imperial Stout character - would not guess there was any barleywine blended in here at first shake, but some treacle and other British bw qualities definitely seem to be hiding under there as it warms - it's good, but not something I'd market as a grand cru - though I may just be tired of seeing such marketing appliedto non-Belgian styles.
