Canned. Hoppy kick and citrus with a toss of biscuit. OK unobtrusive pale ale. Dot dot dot.

12oz can. Poured a golden orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was light citrus, orange peel. Some grapefruit, light gain. Nice.

On tap at The Brewer's Art, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a harsh earthy character, Belgian yeast and light floral undertones. Flavour is similar, with earthy notes, toasted biscuity malt and some gentle floral notes. Earthy, dry and somewhat astringent. Not bad.

Cask at the GBBF 2018 day 3 09/08/2018. A hazed amber orange coloured pour with a sticky off white head. Aroma is nice spicy citrus, orange, pencil, spicy orange. Flavour is composed of wheat. Citrus waxy citrus, peach. Palate is semi sweet, wheat, moderate. Really nice. Firm bitterness.

On tap at The Brewer’s Art. Pours a clear orange gold with medium white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is citrus, earth, floral. Medium body, juicy, orange peel, lemon zest, light bitter finish, easy drinking, very good.

Best by May 5th.

The colour is gold. An inch of foam that seems to be long lasting.

I get some spice and yeast and a candi sugar like sweetness in the smell. Maybe some grassy hops.

Quite sweet from the candi sugar/caramel malt that the yeast is bringing. Spicy with some cloves hints of banana. Hops are way dialed down. Again, perhaps some grass.

Mouthfeel is fine.

No indication on the can that this was a Belgian Pale. For what it is, it’s very good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Birdhouse Ale on 21 Jan 2017 at 14:54 - Score: 7. Original review text: This is maltier than hoppy. Or is it? Best by May 5th. Weird APA but I like it.

Enjoyed from can while staying in Baltimore, MD while watching football. Its a good and decent pale ale that is a bit more malty than others.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a caramel color with a huge creamy-fluffy yellow-white head that lingered forever and left excellent lacing. The aroma was citrus and cactus - semi sweet with a touch of honey. The flavor was thin, bitter and somewhat buttery with citrus and a bit of pine. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.
