Bottle. Pale yellow with medium foamy whitish head, crisp malt aroma, slightly sweet taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish. It was interesting at the st art but quickly became boring and flat.

500 ml bottle as Czech Rebel @ Fox and Hound, Åbenraa. Clear golden body with an off-white head. Aroma has light malt and hint of hops. Flavor is sweet malt, some caramel, hint of butterscotch and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Drinkable and probably not bad for a Czech pilsner, but not my thing really.

0,5L bottle, BB 25.12.14. Pours golden with off-white head. The head stays for a moment Aroma is grains and malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, grains and some saaz hops. Finish is nice dry-nutty bitterness. Overall: finish is the best thing about this brew, otherwise it’s not really good nor really bad. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Rebel Zlatý on 03 May 2023 at 11:21. Original review text: bl

500ml bottle as Imported Czech Beer 4.4 % abv, thanks to djoeye. Two-finger sized head reduced to a patchy surface. Bright dark golden body. Spotty lacework to the glass. Sweet pale malty aroma, hints of caramel. Taste of grainy and buttery malts. Vague hints of cardborad. Notes of malt bitterness to the ending. Soft to lively carbonated. Medium to thin bodied. Drinkable and half-way food friendly (Tromsø, 15.06.2014).

0,35 l. bottle in to a flute. As Czech Rebel, 4,4 % alc. Clear, golden colour with a fast fading white head. Light grassy aroma with light malts and hops. The taste is light sweet. Medium body with a thin texture, soft carbonated. Finishes with grasses and malts, light bitterness. A bit of unpleasantness in the finish, something skunked in the flavour. A decent though average Czech beer.

Herber Beginn, der schnell bitter-blecherne Noten aufweist. Wässrig, etwas muffig. Hellmalzig süß, unrund. Weiterhin metallern. Muss nicht sein. 8/6/6/6/7/6

Brown bottle. Been wanten to try this ever since I saw that poster at my beer distributor a few years back. Always wondered why I never saw the real stuff. Yep, looks liek pale lager and it does have a popular check smell, but mind you its not skunky, its fresh. Stronger pale lager influence bordering on astringent lager hops thing happeneing. Yes, hoppy stuff builds as session continues. Sharper palate with decent carbonation. Same with finsh medium bitter linger goes long way. Ironically had to go to florida to get this even tho the poster was in pgh.
