Handpull cask at BeerHeadZ, Grantham. Light to mid-golden, clear, with a respectable white head which eventually dissipates. Freshly squeezed orange juice, wood shavings, a touch of pine. Bitter, bitter taste. Threatens to turn a bit acrid and, well, it does. But it’s tempered by the fruity sweetness which loiters in the background. Long bitter finish. Body is more substantial that many similarly styled beers, with an oily texture. Simple, but certainly enjoyable.
