440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts, very roasty, dark chocolate. Taste is also heavy on the roast malts, with some dark chocolate, light ash, caramel, dark fruit hints in the background, good bitterness. Medium bodied. Really good porter.

Isle Of Wight Holiday Beer#17.; I'll get there eventually! Black with a small head. Session porter texture and strength, pretty decent for it. Has a light roasted nose, lighter taste, but develops in aftertaste on the sweeter side.

440ml can. Poured a mostly clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasted malt, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, earthy, light sweet chocolate, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can at home picked up from HOTM. A caramel brown coloured pour with a fine mid tan head. Aroma is tangy green apple, caramel, brown roast, salty caramel, green apple. Flavour is composed of super tangy, granny smith, woody roast, tangy, salted caramel. Too tangy and sour. bitter dark choclalte. Palate is semi sour, sharp moderate carbonation. Maybe a little fucked.

On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours almost black with a small beige head. The aroma is milky – with coffee and chocolate both of that type. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture, but also a tangy zest. Milky coffee again the main flavour, with some hints of nutella, beans, liquorice and spice. Finish is a bit sticky – but not annoyingly so. This is decent but no more.

Nose is cocoa powder, brown bread, dried fruits, light charr, roast malts. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, dried fruit tang, light roast, brown sugar dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close Ok porter ... didn't think it was that bad you miserable old American bastard Shawn!

Can 440ml (Beergium)
Opaque colour, small beige head. Aroma has toasted malts, cocoa and vanilla. Light to medium-bodied. Toasted, candyish, vanilla, tonka beans in the flavour. Quite nice intensive light porter.
