Quite hazy golden and copper coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall rich off-white head. Aroma of fresh grain, alcohol, resin, malt, metal, dry flowers and a touch of very astringent and grapefruity hops. Light-bodied; Sharp grassy and herbal flavours at first with a big dose of grain and coriander seed freshness noticeable and an astringent and bitter bite from alcohol, metal, malt and grasses make this interesting, but very strong and more of an American Strong or tasting like a European Strong Lager, despite it clearly being an ale. Aftertaste shows the dry flavours with some light herbs and the faintest hint of sugars from fruits, but mainly bitter, showing a ton of alcohol, a lot of grass and astringency and the strongest flavours of the pure dryness. Overall, a pretty poor beer overall, and especially for the style, unless you want a dry and astringent beer with not much hops and a lot of simplicty throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Clarendon (Arlington), Virginia on 29-October-2018 a few hours after finishing the USMC Marathon 2018 for US$2,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-November-2018 just about two weeks later.
