Sessionable Oatmeal Stout with a Peanut Brittle aroma with a Caramalt sweetness, offset with dry roasted peanuts. Loads of Chocolate on the nose and in the taste, but by no means a sweet beer. This stout remains dry and roasty.

[ As Weird Beard / Mondo Nuttin' Else Matters ].
ABV: 6.5%. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted - chocolate, oat, peanut, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light tot moderate bitter with a long duration, toffee - sweet malt, dark malt, oat, roasted - chocolate, peanut. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190805]

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Black body with a beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of nuts, chocolate and boozy pineapple. Flavour of caramel and peanut brittle. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Well balanced and flavoursome.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. A hazy brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Nutty, caramel, hint of chocolate on the nose. Tastes nutty, caramel, slightly sweet and mildly roasty with some fruit in there. Pleasant enough oatmeal stout.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018, day one, 04/12/18. Murky brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is toffee, chocolate, dried fruits, bitter sweet aroma. Taste comprises fruit loaf, mellow roast, cocoa powder, toffee, raisins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Cask at the Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Reddish brown pour with a beige head. Nose of burnt sugar,toffee,strawberry jam which segues into the flavour. Not much in the way of nuts but a pleasant brew nonetheless.

Cask gravity at the pigs ear beer festival 2018. A hazed nutty brown coloured pour with a lasting loose light tan head. Aroma is semi sweet nutty malts, peanut, jammy berries,. Flavour is composed of, semi sweet, oily nutty malts, light burnt oak. Charred toast, tangy jammy berries,. Palate is medium sweet, oily, moderate carbonation.. Long. Lingering woody roast.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - London. Day 1. Pours clear brown with a bubbly off-white head. OK overall, some leathery notes, earth, dusty cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mellow roast in the finish, more earthy hops. Kind of bland overall.
