Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 26/5/2022. Golden in colour, with a thin, white, head. A touch of citrus hop, rich tea malts, a touch of lemon fruit sharpness, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Volunteer Inn, Sidmouth. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a light, grainy, earthy, mineral, light lemon citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Old Crown Inn. Clear golden, small white head. Malty, citrus, quite sour, some acetic notes, seems off. Light bodied. Should re-rate.

Cask @ White Swan, Hebden Bridge. Very mildly hazed blonde coloured with a creamy head. Has a fair bittered maltiness and a stewed nose.

[ Cask at the Fullers pub on Paddington station.] A clear pale amber pour with a thin white head; citrusy aroma; sweet and cloying in the mouth with a grassy bitterness. Lacking crispness.

Cask (handpump) @ The Mad Bishop and Bear, Paddington Station / Upper Concourse, W2 1HB Paddington, Greater London, England [ As Butcombe Citra ]. ABV: 4.0%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, light moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity hops, light caramel, light nutty - earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190720] 7-3-7-3-13
