Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a cloudy burnt orange color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Messy clingy white lace.
The aroma started off with some mango and pineapple sweetness, a touch of soft grain/wheat and then some light berries.
The flavor yields to the sweetness initially and ends up bringing in a light blended juiciness from the mango/pineapple. Light piney bitterness for balance and good taste. Crisp sweet semi-bitter yet tropical sweet aftertaste flowing into the finish cleanly.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body, with a leniency to the medium side. Moderate carbonation. ABV feels appropriate.
Overall, pretty good AIPA trying to lean towards that NE hazy styled IPA with that juiciness trying to come forth like many others in this region. Does it? I think this is Lost Nation’s effort to compete but ends up staying just a tad underneath from that claim. I’d still have this again.
