This young unfiltered lager is an ode to Annafest, the annual celebration of Franconian brewing in Forchheim Germany. A pale copper color, Vorhe showcases a traditional German heirloom pilsner malt and Organic Perle hops. A biscuit and honey malt sweetness is balanced with an herbaceous hop character. Prost!

Pours light copper into a shaker. Tan head with good retention conglomerates and recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet caramel aromas. Soft with sweet caramel, earthy multigrain, meadow and bitter roots front to back. Lasting roots and meadow finish.

Foam draught, 8/13/22. Light copper-brass. Hint of chill-haze. Large, off-white head showing moderate retention. After a few strike outs, this smells sublime. Heavy mineral, big herbal hops and light sourdough and honey-like malts. Soft and malty with good attenuation and strong herbal notes without too much bitterness. Honey and mineral. Rich and malty but well-attenuated. Great balance.
