Scoop is an Imperial Black Icecream IPA. Based on the theme of mint choc chip ice creams, we added cacao nibs and vanilla to a dark Milkshake IPA base before dry hopping with Fuggles, Polaris and Citra hops and steeping peppermint tea from our friends at Atkinsons of Lancaster.

Notes from a photo taken on my other phone of my main phone when I am sitting on an infinitely spinning circle trying to save a rate. Ratebeer IT strikes again! Can. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is light, really light for the abv. It's quite smooth but still has decent fine carbonation. Errrrrrm! What can you say about this beer that can't be summed by - liquidised After Eights? Certainly that is the core of the beer, some dark fruits hanging about and a notable hop sting on the finish reminds you this is an Imperial CDA, not that Ratebeer's shitty style structure can cope with that. Light and quaffable. Jazzed by what Wander Beyond are capable of.

440ml can. Black with a big tan head. Aroma of peppermint and chocolate, uncannily similar to After Eights. The taste likewise is very much like an After Eights mint, chocolate, vanilla, and a well judged amount of peppermint, subtle citrusy hops, creamy, smooth, and the 11% ABV is barely noticeable. Medium-full body, soft-moderate carbonation. This shouldn't work but somehow it does, definitely more on the milkshake IPA side of things.

This is insane. I wouldn't necessarily have guessed black IPA, maybe chocolate mint barleywine. Smooth mint chocolate chip ice cream
