Can from Luton Airport. Pours almost clear golden, topped with smaller white head, ok lasting. Gentle fruity nose with elderberry. Medium bittrrness, slightly herbal with dry finish, slight shampoo aftertaste. Light body. Nothing special.

Can at home picked up from Watford M&S. A clear bright golden coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is light base malts, lemon rind, light soapy, little cereal, earthy notes. Flavour is composed of light grains, cereal, chalk, light honey monster, lemony hop. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, basic. Passable.

Pint at Drake & Morgan Kings Cross. Out with the wife and I felt a long cool beer was a good way to start before going on to the cocktails. It looked good in the glass, but there was no real aroma and not much flavour either. Maybe some hops? Possibly? There was a lot of malt which gave it body and a smooth mouthfeel. Otherwise this was quite bland and more akin to a macro lager. At least it was cold and wet and set me up for an very good negroni followed by an old fashioned.

Clear golden colour with lasting head. Aroma has plenty of citrus hop and also some more resinous skunky notes too. Flavour starts resinous and skunky but has some sweeter fruity notes in the finish. Lasting aftertaste is skunky though. So not a good session IPA.

Keg at the Swan, Hammersmith, 14/03/18. Clear golden with a decent off white head. Nose is citric sherbets, toasted malts, melon, tangerine, grassy. Taste comprises orange blossom, citric tinged straw, light peach whisper, grassy, airy malts, bread dough. Medium bodied, fairly lively carbonation, semi drying close splashed with hop bitterness. OK refreshing sessioner.
