SESSION PALE ALE Bristol Beer Factory are always striving for new things, pushing forward with unique styles but never forgetting and forever taking part in the great styles and hops of the past. Notorious pays homage to the original US ‘C’ hops: 4 revolutionary – now classic – hops that helped the UK fall in love with citrusy, hoppy pale ales in those heady early days of the Craft Beer Revolution. Columbus, Chinook, Cascade and Centennial combine to make a legend of a pint: citrus, sherbet, black pepper, floral, tropical and piney flavours make this an epic pour. A king of sessions, Notorious will have you coming back for more.

Cask at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light citrus, floral perfume hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, slightly watery, light fruity, dry hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Cask at Beer Emporium, Bristol, 02/02/19. Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is melon, tangerine, straw, light breads. Taste comprises melon, citric tinged straw, airy malts, toasted grains, lemon rind. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with modest hop bitterness. Low end for the style ... fails to deliver on the hops.
