EL TOPO - Mexican Oatmeal stout 7.2% w/ IMBC

‘The Mole’ is one of two official IMBC 2019 launch beers. A Mexican oatmeal stout with natural additions of smoked chipotle chillies, raw cocoa nibs, Spanish cinnamon and fresh lime zest.

Soft bodied and balanced with subtle complexities revealing smoke, heat, leather, tobacco, dark chocolate and a fresh zing of acidic lime.

Tap at Borefts 2019. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a round bubbly tan head. The flavour is roasty malt, herbal, aromatic, jasmine. The flavour is moderate to light liquorice bitter, with a pepper spice, light, fresh, floral herbal citrus hop palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small beige head, almost non existing, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice roast, lots of caramel, sweet impression, bit dusty, vanilla, caramel notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very floral, lavender, soapy bitterness. Aftertaste: very bad, soft roast, alcohol, pretty dirty, don't like it at all.
