El Guapo — which, translated, means “the handsome one” — looks sexy, smells beautiful, and tastes great! It is a medium-bodied, agave-infused India Pale Ale, with a grassy, citrus nose and notes of sweet caramel, that finishes with a smooth but strong bitterness.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a medium sized creamy orange-tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was bitter cactus, fruity hops and was a bit harsh. The flavor was quite bitter followed by tangy pine, cactus and was a bit harsh. Long bitter and tangy pine and cactus finish. Medium body. Ok.

Draft at the source, courtesy of Jimmy, thanks! Hazy deep golden color, small white head with good retention and nice lacing. Nice aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, citrus. Taste is very smooth and nicely balanced, not overly bitter. I like it!

Orange and tangerine nose, subtle. Crystal clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Overripe orange flavor. Lemongrass finish. Not quite hoppy enough to be an IPA, but enjoyable.
