Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW - London. Pours clear gold with a light, frothy off-white cream head. Aroma carries some dry berries and other rotting fruit, grainy malts. Medium sweet flavor, with sticky sugars, bready malts, lightly astringent leafy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with further leafy bitterness, some dry bread, hints of dry berries. It certainly isn’t a stunner, but it is drinkable.
