Large bottle. bbf 21.5.2020 clear deep maghony and amber, smooth light brown head. Looks real good. Mild aroma, roasted malts, faint belgian yeast, sweet nuts, syrup, faint dark dried fruity note. flavor is nutty, bitter cough syrup, caramel syrup, bitter nuts, lots of weird nutty fruit peely nearly chemicalic bitterness that i don't really like, and way too little belgian yeasty notes. apart from the kinda weird bitterness, the flavor is quite nice and pleasing, but it does not remind me much of belgian beer, and not much of belgian double. The weird bitter flavors are from the cherries in the beer. If you expect a belgain double, you will be quite a lot disappointed, but if you expect a belgian strong ale brewed with berries and herbs, you will find it an interesting experimental beer.

Bottle, 8%. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, yeast, berries, spices and cherry. Flavour is malt, caramel, yeast, berries, sweet, warming, spices, cherries and a little bitter.

Aus der Flasche im 2020-02 getrunken. Hier haben Albani Bryggerierne ein ganz typisches Belgisches Dubbel ins Glas gebracht.

75 cl bottle poured in to a Trappist glass. Deep mahogany colour with a reddish hue. Thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, red berries, herbal hoppy notes, toasted notes. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Slightly drying fruity finish with red berries and a toasted note. Sweet and not exactly complex. Fair.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and dried fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and dried fruits, leading to a dry finish.

Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration, fruity yeast, sweet yeast, dried fruit, dark fruit, sweet malt, yeast. 0,75 flaske fra tilbudshylla hos Fakta på Islands Brygge, siste kvelden i København for denne gang. Klar rødlig mahogny med kort bruseskum. Svak duft av mørke karameller og røde bær. Rund og behagelig smak med de samme inntrykk, pluss brunsukker/knekk og et hint av citrusfrukter (klementiner?). Mild bitterhed i afslutningen giver et balancered og saftig helhedsindtryk. Hvis man kan lige belgisk dubbel er dette et godt køb til kr. 27. Pleasant, warming evening sipper.
