Tap @ Brewdog Helsinki. Poured near black in color with an off white head. Served quite cold, took a while to get all the flavors. Chocolate, milk chocolate, roastedness, some lactose, licorice and some plummy wibes. Medium bodied , expected perhaps stronger body considering the ABV. It is sweet though.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced via Fanzine. Pours deep brown with a frothy mocha cap. Quite a tasty brew, lots of creamy chocolate, milky coffee, ashy roast, alcohol, a little smoked ham, toasted marshmallows, brown bread, a little earthy bitterness. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lightly sticky, some deep coffee characteristics, espresso, more ash, baking cocoa, milk chocolate. Nice depth and also drinkability.

Can at home, Fanzine#24, 17/08/19. Pitch black with a decent lasting tan cap. Nose is big dark fruits, molasses, mellow roast, brown sugar dusting, chocolate, dates, dried fruits. Taste comprises dark malts, fruit cake, molasses, light black peppery spice, toffee, chocolate sprinkle. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok impy stout … a straight up and down affair with no real frills but drinks fairly easy for the ABV.
