16 ounce can. Translucent mahogany brown color has reddish highlights. Small foamy head dissipates quickly. Sweet toasted malt aroma hints at holiday spices. Flavor upfront is toasted malt, brown sugar and subtle notes of ginger and cinnamon. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. A bit on the thin side. Average at best.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a slightly opaque (around seventy per cent) copper glow that has a small, single centimetre tall tan head that fades fairly quickly but leaves a small lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of deep spices, canella, allspice, cloves and even light chocolate with a touch of alcohol and rich malts towards the end without any hops of course and only a tiny dose of sweetness. Medium-bodied; Very strong malt and spice component with a light anise and deeper canella and allspice bite that shows a subdued molasses and caramelised sugar sweetness that ends with a hit of mild chocolate and a touch of dry hay and a good touch of relatively mild alcohol near the end. Aftertaste shows a good bite of healty dose of spices with a strong allspice and especially canella flavour and blends well with the sweetness from caramlised sugars, raisins, pitted fruits and some treacle as well along with a finish of bitter grain. Overall, a nice rich beer with tons of sweetness and spices with some light grainy and alcohol characteristics, but on the relatively mild side, but showing more spices than might lead onto that. A nice option, especially during the chilly (although not compared to Ithaca, New York) portion of the year or around Christmas where one might be wearing a pretty fuggly sweater. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 21-December-2019 for US$3,59 sampled at my house here in Washington on 25-January-2021, a bit more than a year after purchase on the first [fake] sleetfall of the year, which lasted all of five minutes, in Washington.
