Wanderer is our unfiltered German-style Helles Lager. A meticulous, highly technical beer brewed utilizing traditional techniques and ingredients, Wanderer is crisp, bright, and immensely enjoyable. Wanderer pours a brilliant straw gold color in the glass with a puffy, bright white foam. It carries a flavor profile of doughy malts, light straw, clean lager yeast, and just the right dash of zippy noble hops. Beers that command your attention are a wonderful thing. Beers that can fade into the background and sort of be an unspoken companion to celebratory moments in life are also a wonderful thing and deserve to be held in equally high esteem. As a crisp, highly drinkable, and beautifully executed beer, Wanderer fits this profile beautifully.

Lukr draught Tewksbury, 2/26/23. Clear, bronze-brass, smaller white head with low retention which is odd for a Lukr pour. Smells great though, herbal and malty with biscuit and light sourdough. Tons of lovely malt character, crisp and clean. Soft, malty, well-attenuated. Rich white bread, honey, biscuit and such from the malts. Gentle herbal bittering from hops. Clean, crisp, drinkable.

Pours a nice clear amber from a can. Crisp clean malt aroma and flavor, nice noble hop notes. Pretty good beer.

Pours a slightly hazy, golden yellow, with mid-sized head. Aroma is grass, hops, grain. Flavor has some bite, but also is largely grass and roasted grain. Crisp and clean mouthfeel.

16 oz. canning of 4/20/20. Aroma of grain, lager yeast and straw. Flavor is spot on for the style. Really spot on German authentic lager. Straw, corn husk and sweet grain. Body is light and refreshing with a lager yeast finish. Well done.

Can pour from the brewery in Charlton. Appearance is clear yellow with decent sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is pilsner malts, mild soda cracker. Taste is much richer than the aroma with a heartier cracker--like a wheat thin--and a late noble hop bitterness with a hint of fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp, dry finish without too much flavor. Overall, pretty good for a helles, but there's only so much you're going to eke out of this style.
