Cask at GBBF 2017, day 1 - London. Pours oily black with minimal head. The nose holds ash, vanilla, burnt wood. Medium to big sweet flavour, with some char, baking cocoa, wood. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with plenty of ashy roast, bittersweet baking cocoa. Fun gear.

Clear dark brown black colour with a small head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, rich bourbon - alcohol, vanilla, chocolate, roasted, dark malt, dark fruit, boozy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long long duration, dark malt, rich bourbon - vanilla, chocolate, wood, roasted, dark dried fruit, alcohol, boozy. Cask at GBBF’17, day one, 08/08/17. Pitch black with a tan head. Nose is rich bourbon, chocolate, light spice, charr, toffee. Taste comprises dark fruits, liqourice, boozey tunes, dark chocolate chips, spice, mellow bourbon tang. Full bodied, soft carbonation, warming booze ripple in the close. Decent for a cask impy drinking below the stated 13.5%.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous. Modest fine carbonation. Viscous dark malts, rich dark chocolate. Spicy bourbon and sweetish bourbon fruits. Dry spicy bourbon finish. Very bourbon but good fun!

Cask at GBBF. It pours jet black with a small and dense tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, oak, wood, cookie dough, dark fruits, plum, dark chocolate. varnish, earthy, charred wood, treacle and rocky road. The taste is drying, bitter, charred, wood, rich roasted malt, ashy, leather, rocky road, intense, burnt leather, burnt vanilla, tannin, charcoal, peppery spice and tar with a slick, tarry finish. Full body, soft carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Aroma is nice, taste is filthy and chewy.
