Our take on the regional classic from Cologne, Germany, this 4.6% Kölsch-style beer is defined by it's supreme easy-drinking quality. Contee is brewed with a combination of German malt and local malt from our friend's at Maine Malt House. Hopped thoughtfully with German hops, this ale is fermented for many moons at cooler temperatures providing a lager-like ale that is crisp, clean and refreshing.

16 oz. Aroma of crackers, honey, lager yeast. Flavor has light minerals, crackers, weak citrus. Dry and crisp. Average for the style. Well crafted.

Keg at Great Lost Bear - Portland. Pours clear yellow with a small, foamy white head. Dry biscuits in the nose, lemon peel, straw. Light sweet flavour, some white bread, more biscuits, stare, pale rain. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish, nips of dough, faint grass, crispy hay, dry biscuits. Solid.
