Bottle from Vittles & Company, Hull. Black with a small off-white head. Full flavoured dark malty beer, full-bodied with a mild sweetness. It's a little less stated in its nose, but its lingering taste is definitely a plus.

Bottle sample thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of toffee, molasses, roast chestnut. Taste is sweet, more toffee and molasses. Sweet finish.

Bottle from Vine and Grain. Appearance - opaque black with a quickly disappearing head. Nose - malt loaf, light smoke and molasses. Taste - molasses, malt loaf, black jack sweets and a touch of smoke. Palate - medium to full bodied. Dey, malty finish. Overall - very nice.

Bottle ordered from Vittles & Company, Hull. The bottle states 5.4%..Aroma has sweet edged dark berries and nuts over dark chocolate. Opaque dark brown with a ruby tint. Creamy beige head soon fades away. Medium sour with a bitter edge. Underlying sweetness. Sharp berries, liqourice and chocolate. Nutty finish. Although it's the sourness that is the primary feature complimented by the chocolate. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. I like this. Rich, malty and pleasantly sour.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ Højbjerg Tasting ] - Saxo House, Højbjerg - Aarhus, Denmark.[ As Bricknell Bosphorous 1875 ].Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, light roasted - toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, light roasted - toasted. Bottle @Højbjerg Tasting. Dark red brown, small beige head. Malty, caramely and light roasted aroma. Malt, caramel, chocolate flavour. Light hoppy bitterness in the finish.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, caramel, fruits, hops and has a sweet toffee finish.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. DArk amber colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Average light nbitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle, 6%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, little roasted malt, little bread and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malt, little bread, medium sweet, liquorice, caramel and a little bitter.
