Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear deep brown beer, a decent bubbly tan head, not mayfly but not very long lived. The PX barrelling smooths out the base beer. The bitterish espresso is still there and hasn't lost its edge. The PX barrel adds a trace of vanilla oak and of course, the dark fruity sweetness of PX. The sweet and bitter elements of this brew, stand in stark contrast but, balance each other out. A little alcohol spice on the finish. Like this, the PX barrel has smoothed out the unhinged base beer, but does not stop it snarling.

Can at home, from Craft Central.ie, 25/02/2025.
Black with a fast escaping khaki head.
Nose is dark malts, molasses, light spice, dried fruit esters, mellow sherry strains, toasted brown sugars.
Taste comprises light roast, figs, spice, treacle toffee, mellow barrel, raisins, molasses.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a mellow rasp of alcohol.
Okay BA sipper if not the most expressive.

Can purchased from Gourmet Haus near St Patrick’s Day. Pours black with a large, deep brown head that fades quickly to no head. Aroma is peat, dark fruit, roast, vanilla and whiskey. Coffee in the aroma as it warmed. Flavor is boozy whiskey, cocoa and roast. Sweetness retains long on the lips. Slightly astringent in the finish.
