Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear deep brown beer, a decent bubbly tan head, not mayfly but not very long lived. The PX barrelling smooths out the base beer. The bitterish espresso is still there and hasn't lost its edge. The PX barrel adds a trace of vanilla oak and of course, the dark fruity sweetness of PX. The sweet and bitter elements of this brew, stand in stark contrast but, balance each other out. A little alcohol spice on the finish. Like this, the PX barrel has smoothed out the unhinged base beer, but does not stop it snarling.
