This cheeky penguin is full of character!
Hop to it! A refreshingly fruity local take on a classic golden ale. Slightly malty with a fresh clean citrus finish. Great with fish ‘n’ chips and of course on its own too!

Bottle. Clear and very pale yellow. Small white, nonlasting. Corn, grassy, apples in the nose. Medium bitter, grassy with lots of herbal finish. Very light, a bit watery. Not too nice, but hey, it's Falklands. Thanks Grumbo.

26th March 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group in Chez Sophie. 500ml bottle conditioned, brought back from the Falklands by a friend, I in turn shared it with four other mates. Light haze to the golden pour, white crown on top. Not as exciting as we had all hoped to be honest, weak malty front with not a lot going on in either the nose or taste, mild bitterness towards the finish. Luckily the second Falkland Beerworks beer (Iron Lady) was better all round.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Mar 18. Many thanks to Jeremy for sourcing this! Pours misty gold, white head. Light malt grain on the nose, a touch euro-lagery. Taste continues with a light pale malt character, floral glimpses with a subtle bitter finish. Essentially a light, almost watery golden ale.
