A rounded texture from a diverse mash, with a touch of sweetness. DDH with Columbus, Mosaic and more. Strong hop character, with notes of zesty lemons, and mangoes on the aroma, followed by tastes of stone fruit and citrus.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is fruity with sweetish orange, stone fruits, apricot, mango, malt, hint of caramel, dextrose, touch of manure, huh? Flavour is pretty sweet with a relatively mild bitterness. Body is medium. Lacks a little power in the flavour department, pretty easy and soft. Fruits are sweet and ripe. Not bad, but I expect a little more from my IIPA.

27th April 2019
Can. Hazy orange gold beer, mostly orange, small pale cream colour head. Smooth but fairly dry and somewhat thin palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin pale malts, tastes like some smoke malts in here, and that pisses me off big time. Pine. Minerals. Slightly spicy orange peel. Little brighter citrus, only a little. Fairly dry finish. Don't hate it despite its thin palate and its light smoky note but there are so very very many better dipas out there. Many.

(440ml can from Glasbanken) Pours hazy dark amber towards copper with a big cream coloured head and lace. Aroma of caramel malt with heavily sweet fruit, overripe mango and pit fruit, candied orange, grassy hops, biscuit, booze. Flavour is high sweet and rather malty, lots of caramel, again overripe pit fruit and candied orange, light citrus zest, herbal hops and resin, biscuits, slightly tinny, boozy, with sticky resinous bitterness into the finish. Medium sticky body with soft carbonation. The heavily sweet malt bill wrecks whatever the hopping might have provided by making the whole package cloying. Disappointing.

Draft. An unclear red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, caramel, alcohol, and exotic fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, smoke, exotic fruits, and hops, leading to a bitter finish. Disappointing.

Can from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Murky orange pour with a swiftly dissipating white head. Aromas of stone fruits, herbs, sweet citrus, papaya. Good nose. Quite a low carbonation. Taste of peach, apricot, tangerine, earthy herb action. Bittersweet finish.
