Pours black into an English pint. Mocha nitro head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Sweet milk chocolate aromas. Soft with licorice and soy upfront turning to charred espresso and chocolate before the dry, lasting pit fruit finish.

16oz can pours a cola brown/black with a ring of just off white head? Nitro? Maybe. Nose is nice. Malty and earthy, smoke, toast, carob. Flavor amps up the toast and adds caramel and licorice. There's something pleasantly astringent, like first runnings tea. Medium bodied, only lightly creamy (I wanted more body) and dry. Tannic too.

Aroma of coffee and toasted malt. Taste has thin coffee notes, more toasted notes. Boozy. Palate has more resinous malt, smoked element on the nose. Okay.

Pours a near black from a can, not very nitro-y. Light roasty aroma and flavor, but nothing special. Good beer.
So creamy, light, little dry finish. Spectacular. A fresher, better Guinness. Flyers in Pittsburgh as we wind down this Saturday night at RBS.

16 oz. can. Roasted coffee and chocolate aroma, nice lacing and carbonation. Flavor of roasted grain, charred barley, mild coffee notes. The body is medium plus with the texture being nicely creamy. Slightly drying finish. Sean Lawson’s Guinness.

Can from Foodery: pours blackish with beige head. Not really all that nitro... chocolate and coffee. On the sweeter side for a dry stout but it has higher abv. Generally good.
