Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Cloudwater Brew Co, our Export Oatmeal Stout takes inspiration from the Tropical Stouts often associated with the Caribbean and Africa. Think rich, dark chocolate, sweet caramels and just a hint of roasty bitterness for balance.

Keg @ Victoria Tap, Manchester. Black with a small off-white head. Smooth, nice mouthfeel, crisp with a fine blend of tropical and dark malt notes. Not particularly stout-like other than its appearance, but as it's a fine brew it matters not.

Tap at 73 Enid Street. A jet black coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is mellow earthy roast. Liquorice, charred berries, wood, hint of smoke. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded layered roast, earthy, charred wood, liquorice, some jammy raisin. Pinch of salt. Palate is semi sweet, medium full bodied, mellow carbonation. Rounded. Really well put together beer.

Keg at 73 Enid Street, 12/08/22. Black with a modest tan cap that soon clears to nyadda. Nose is dark malts, ashen tones, charr, spice, dark chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises bitter roast, earthy dark fruit rinds, cocoa powder, charr, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Tidy stout.

Bottle. Thanks to Sir Alex. Split during Denmark-Scotland. Pours black with a small beige head. Good roast. Ashes, charcoal, coffee and chocolate. Smooth and dry roasted finish. Lovely.

Bottle. Appealing nose, with smoke, rich liquorice, blackcurrant, hint of coffee. Taste leads with a bitter liquorice, leading to a warm chocolate and blackcurrant, light caramel, with roast, and softly fruity finish. Mouthfeel is slick. A typically well balanced beer from Runaway.

Pours black with a big brown head. Slightly smokey aroma of toasted malt. Taste has the same qualities too, with a little dried fruit, dark chocolate and liquorice in there too. Nice toasty finish, slightly lively but it's rich in body all the same. Very decent.

330ml bottle. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is meaty roast, liquorice and blackcurrant. Taste has roast, coffeeand blackcurrant with a yeasty roast finish.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with a thick beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of treacle and vanilla. Flavour of roasted malt and blueberry skin. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Rich and delicious.
