The Flying Inn Telepathic War Elephant Belgian Double IPA 8% Lovely golden color with a wisp of foam and a rich stone fruit Belgian golden spice aroma. Full bodied and smooth with hints of wood and spices as well as stone fruit. Really hit the spot.

3 July 2020. At Bar Beenhouwer, Ghent. Cheers, Anke, Pieter, Meeki & Ama Deke! Clear pale golden with a stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of pineapple juice, yellow grapefruit, apple peel, spring onion, pomelo, lime, cold french fries. Taste has sweetish pineapple, mandarin, bittersweet pomelo, mango & grapefruit, sour zesty touch. Dry, piney hoppy finish, quite bitter with dank yellow fruit. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Very fruity yet assertively hoppy bitter.

Can. Medium haze on this orange gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, somewhat thin but with decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin malts provide an okay sweetness. Crisp pine into slightly tangy orange peel. A pleasing but somewhat subsumed juicy tangerine with a touch of tropical fruits. Light crisp finish. Not a bad dipa by any means but a bit thin and the tangy orange peel just a tad too dominant means it isn't even on the queue to join the top table.

44cl can from Tanker. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Sweet, fruity and hoppy. Too sweet in my book, but fairly pleasant tropical flavours with hints of malt and honey. Bitterness is decent, but almost covered by the sweetness. Drinkable enough.

Tap @ VAF 2018 / 30.11. Golden pour with nice white foam. Nose is light but has some prickly hops, grass and willow peels. Tastes thin, herbal woody hop character, more dry and aggressive bitterness in the finish. Interesting and quite clean. Does feel much lower abv than it actually is.
