Three hand-pulled cask pints while taking part in the Prince Albert, Wolverhampton on 16th June 2018. Clean and clear golden body, smooth white topping. Light fruity nose, malts to the fore in the taste, mild bitterness late on. Actually preferred to bottled version according to my scores for that.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2015. Golden in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Bland, water, with a touch of sweet malts and decnet, bitter, finish. Not for me.

Cask at Sun Inn, Waterbeach. Clear mid-gold, not a lot of head but the lacing is impressively intense. Malty, sulphurous, grainy and citrussy aroma. Hints of cheese. Taste starts fresh and bittersweet, but there is an almost acrid note that creeps in toward the finish. Ends on an astringent unbalanced note. More cheese in the aftertaste. A mixed bag. Drinkable but not a classic.
