Keg @ Malt Dog, Monton. Hazy pale yellow with a thin head. Dry textured and taste with hops and a light citrus fruitiness - the former subdues the latter. Has a fair nose.

Bottle. Nose is light lemon, slightly medicinal, very faint dough. Not really what I was hoping for. Taste is marginally better, grassy, lots of lemon, slight spice, dough, and a little grain and the pleasing dry note with emerging pepperiness in the finish. Unfortunately the lemon dominates too much, and outside of the pepper the more complex spices and doughy flavours expected never really get going. It’s OK. It’s still 4.5% so should not be as thin as it is.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Cloudy, pale straw colour. Film of sticky, white head. Quite sickly sweet aroma of flora and herb. Bready, in a brioche kind of way. Drinks quite sweet. There’s some peppery spice, but not enough for me. Sticky palate. Finishes much the same. Can’t get on with this one.
