Een zware jongen waarvan de basis gelijk blijft, maar het frisse karakter bij ieder brouwsel verandert door het uitlichten van één enkele, markante hopsoort en zet hiermee vriend en vijand op het verkeerde been. Deze vijfde editie staat volledig in het teken van Tango en heeft frisse tonen van passievrucht, meloen en ananas.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Floral hop with orange, yeasty notes, malt, more floral notes. Moderate bittersweet flavour. Decent.

Bottle, 9.0%. Sweetish caramel aroma with notes of spicy hops, almost smells like a noble hop. Hazy amber colour. Big stable plasticky white head. The flavour is yeasty, sweetish, fruity with a faint note of the aforementioned hop. Spicy and sweetish hop note. Citric finish. Quite high carbonation. Late yeasty aftertaste.

26/X/24 - 33cl bottle from Dranken Geers (Oostakker), shared @ my parents’ place, BB: I/2026, L24018 (2024-1157)

Clear dark blond beer, big aery creamy head, unstable, falls down quickly, a bit adhesive. Aroma: nice, quite some tropical fruits, pineapple, a bit malty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty herbal, a bit soapy, spicy, coriander, yeasty, quite some banana, bitter. Aftertaste: more soapy, fruity touch, sourish, some passion fruits, spicy, a bit grassy, herbal, ok.

Appearance: Cloudy deep gold with a huge dense off-white head of perfect retention. Aroma: Fruit esters, pleasant perfume, malt, spicy notes, peppery hop. Taste: Medium dry, Peppery hop upfront, malt, esters, spicy yeast. Medium ending bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium plus body, average carbonation. Overall: Nice.

Donkergeel bier met stevig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en fruitig zoet met iets van kruidige bloemen, wat honing en wat sinaasappel.
