Can, 9.0%. Mild, bready malt syrup aroma. Almost clear dark copper colour. Small fizzy whitish head. The flavour starts off sweet and malty with a metallic touch. Turns quite bitter in the finish. The metal note more or less fades away after a few sips. The bitterness is still high, but not unpleasant.

can. pretty nice fruity dried dark fruity aroma, raisins, red grapes. The aroma leads me to think of belgian quad, but the belgian yeasty notes are not present or only very very faintly present. caramel. This barley wine is most certanly european more than american in the aroma. Flavor is caramelly, dried red fruity, boozy, boozy bitterness as well as malty bitterness, a malty bitter booze bomb. some bitterness reminding me of nut shells and nonripe fruit peel. A good sipper, not exactly super enjoyable to drink, but could work very well with selected snacks.
