Craft Islington. Brucie Boys Birthday Bash. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with light fine carbonation. Very slightly viscous. Light floralness over semi sweet malt. Whisper of caramel. Little candy fruits and marmalade citrus. Finishes dry with a modest bitterness and a touch of banana ester.

Cask at CBC Isloid during Bruces Birthday Bash, 07/02/14. Golden amber with a moderate beige swirl. Good lacing ensues. Nose is lightly hopped, caramel, ight pine, touch of tropical fruit, bitter orange. Taste carries a little more depth comprising caramel malts, orange pith, light boozey streak, tropical tang. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Drinkable stuff but nothing I’d rush back to, a little conservative on the hop front, akin to a US style semi-hopped up ESB.
