Day 8's can within the the Beer Republic Advent Calendar. Aroma is combines spice and citrus. Light resin. Clear amber. Foamy white head. As well as the advertised Spruce Tips, this also contains oranges. This adds to the citrus-type flavour that Google tells me Spruce provides. Spice. Resinous streak. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Enjoyable.

Can Day 8 Loz's Beer Republic Advent Calendar, Sunday 8th December 2024 listening to our favourite tracks of 2024 through TIDAL. Pours clear mid amber with a mid/large white head. Like my Soma Silly this is a very good beer but it's not without it's flaws, whereas the Soma Silly was a touch harsh this is a touch sweet but both failed to totally nail the style. This has a resinous bite bit there is a slight artificial edge, it's very drinkable and drinks easily for the abv.

Crystal clear, beautiful amber and bright copper coloured body with a pretty soapy tan head, about two to three centimetres tall. Aroma of grass, light pine, flowers and yes, some spruce here, but the malt and sugars are noticeable too - in the nose, at least. Light to Medium-bodied; Crisp and grassy flavours dominate with some deep resinous bitterness here, along with a good malt backbone and some dryness, but the spruce somehow is the strongest, in a nice way, with a little sweetness on the end. Aftertaste is crisp, deep and pretty balanced, with the hops of course the strongest here, but the malt provides enough of a backbone; there is some mild sugars and the rich hoppy flavours, especially the dry and grassy, piney and sprucey flavours show strongest, as the name suggests! Overall, great to try, even a few weeks past the 'best by' date - this beer is nice for the style and overall - balanced throughout, still bitter, but showing nice richness and complexity here! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Total Wine in Altamonte Springs, Florida on 01-January-2023 for US$2,29 which made it into the store on 30-November-2022 with a 'best by' date of 11-March-2023 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 24-April-2023.

Tap at CBB in Osaka. Checking out the Upslope event at CBB BUD. Upslope Spruce Tip IPA 7.5% 57 IBU Nice reddish orange color with a very light beige head. The aroma is floral spruce tips while this medium bodied brew gives you more of the same with an earthy/woodsy spruce in the finish. Imagine digging through fresh black earth in a spruce forest on a fresh spring day in the mountains and it kind of tastes like that. I like beers with interesting ingredients and this is definitely that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draught at Old Chicago.
Pours a brilliantly clear copper with an accompanying good firm head of foam.
Smells hoppy with pine, almost dry hopped nose. Some cracker slash toasted malt.
Pine hops taste, citrus, toasted almost burnt malt, pretty dry and crisp, long lasting finish.
Excellent mouthfeel.
Very approachable, very enjoyable.
