We teamed up with long time friend and inspiration Henry Kirk to brew this Old Ale, the first collaboration brew of Henry's new venture as Sunken Knave. We leaned upon a traditional Old Ale recipe incorporating some modern ingredients to make this comforting and decadent beer. Expect notes of dark fruits and toasty malts with a hint of raisin.

Fra cask på The Craft Beer Company Covent Garden: mørkebrun kastanjefarge med ok skum. Et velsmakende maltdrevet øl med toner av ristet brød, urter, litt rosiner og mørke bær.

Can. Birthday gift off the missus that had subsequently sat in the fridge being overlooked tbh. From Mitchell’s Wines. Clear deep copper red. Slim ring of beige foam. Nose has raisin prune and overripe estery plum. Taste has fruity sweetness. Dry and light estery character. Pretty smooth although maybe feels a tad thin. Fruity estery finish.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Elusive online. Pours clear amber-brown with a creamy, khaki head. Light-medium sweet flavour with notes of semi-ripe fruits, some prune, raisins, mild earthy bitterness, toasted toffee. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Pretty well balanced to finish, notes of brown bread, earth, lightly tangy berries. Tasty overall.
