Can 1 pint. Pours a murky, opaque orange with a small, off, white head. Fairly subdued fruit aroma but somehow feels more like oranges than lemons or grapefruit. Medium body, that tickling, minerally feel so often found in hazy, juicy IPA. Initially sweet but then an orange tartness takes over. Vaguely bitter. 140219

Can from Zetouna. Pours a hazy, orangish-gold color with a finger of foam that dissipates. Very big pineapple, passion fruit forward nose with dank and unfiltered tart apple juice notes. Nice prickly bitterness, soft mouthfeel at first then some more prickly bitterness. Tingly passion fruit, mango notes on the finish. Very well done and very juice-like.

Can. Pours a cloudy earthy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice citrus note with tangerine and sweet grains underlying. Flavor has a great citrus and tangerine note with a sweet grain backbone.

Draft at Seven Monks, Traverse City. Appearance like a melted caramel or Werther's Original, or a coffee with cream blended with M-43. Beige head with legs. Nose is relatively subdued, tangerine and grapefruit primarily. The body is sharper than their other NE IPAs, tart and biting, a one-two punch of tart bite and long catty, fruity citrus finish, though still creamy-soft. Mostly hops and yeast, the malts mostly providing complexion.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating but is a recent release. Batch #4. Pours very hazy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, wheat, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, wheat, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, wheat, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Slight dryness from lingering bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an amazing NE IPA! All around incredible citrus/tropical/fruity hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the very mellow bitter/dryness. Very juicy and lightly dank on hops; great malt backbone, without being overly sweet. Feels more juicy and less dank than M-43 from the darker malts; with lower bitterness/dryness, making it smoother as well. A highly delicious offering all around.
