The Lumberjack - nowofalowa mieszanka czarnego wyspiarskiego Stoutu z amerykańskim chmieleniem. Żyto wykorzystane w zasypie nadaje piwu oleistości, która koresponduje z posmakiem czekolady oraz mocną żywiczną goryczką. Aromat bogaty w nuty kawowe i czekoladowe, uzupełnione o cytrusową słodycz.

Upon opening the can, citrus immediately bursts forth, followed by pine and roasted, coffee, and chocolate maltiness. The appearance is perfect: opaque, jet-black, with a small, brown head that quickly dissipates. The taste is coffee, chocolate, light grapefruit, pine, and a touch of dried fruit. The alcohol is nicely hidden, with a bit of warming in the throat, but there's also a hint of rye spice. Strongly drinkable, considering the parameters. It's a decent beer.

Palone, czekolada deserowa i później wychodzą cytrusy z bardzo delikatnym finiszem żywicznym. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta, piana znika do krążka, brak lacingu. Goryczka umiarkowana, palono-czekoladowa. Wytrawne, ciut przegazowane, spodziewałem się większej pełni, za mało wyczuwalnego Simcoe. Ogólnie ok.

On tap at BroPub Krakow. Black beer lasting tan head. Full tasting beer. Good rye flavour. Somw spiciness. Good dark chocolate flavour like proper dark chocolate. I liked it. Does it all well. Good malts good bitterness on the finish Good rye. Yep.

330ml can from Beer52. Black pour with beige to tanned head. Aroma of dark malts, coffee, liquorice. Taste of dark roasted malt, chocolate, some citrus and pine. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, moderate bitterness. A little underwhelming for the strength.

Bottle at home. Pours jet black with thin head. Nose is chocolate, moderate earthy notes and bitter hops. In taste it's a beautiful mixture of dark chocolate and resinous hops with a long lasting, lingering bitter finish. Has a light to medium body yet a full mouthfeel and average carbo.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasty, fruity hoppy, citrus, coffee, dark roasted malt, hint of pine, some dark chocolate. Flavour is lightly sweetish with a bitter finish. Body is medium. So hoppy fruity it’s almost a Black IPA. Strong roast hoppy fruity and coffee, very tasty!

150ml draught, sample tray at BroPub by Brokreacja. Coverin beige head, jet black in the glass, laces well. Roasted bread-like malts on the nose, mid-sweet, promising. Fine balanced taste profile of rye bread, chocolate malts, and herbal hops. Smoothly roasted finish, semi-sweet. Medium bodied. Nice. (Kraków, 14.10.2024).
