Sweet Gale er det engelske navn for Porse. Sweet Gale er også den første øl i vores signaturserie af historiske øl.
I forrige århundrede brugte man ofte porse i ølbrygningen i stedet for den dyre importerede humle. Derfor kaldte man også porsen for fattigmandshumle. Sweet Gale er en gylden lagerøl med rund og aromatisk smag af porse. Det er en øl, der egner sig lige så godt til frokosten, som til ikke for tunge middagsretter.

Spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham, lmojoh og Rune på Nerstranda. Varm gylden. Lett uklar. Lavt tett skum. Tynn lacing. Hint av agurk i aromaen. Smaken sukkertøy. Sånn passe.

Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with a fruity touch and spicy notes of gale. Sweet malty flavour with fruity and spice. Not quite the clean lager character I seem to remember from the old Porse Guld but more character.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear yellow with a white head. Distinct sweet gale aroma - much more than in any other of Thisted's sweet gale beers. Sweet, malty, fruity body and again very distinct sweet gale accents throughout. Very subdued bitterness. 240619

Bottle from meny. clear yellow, smooth offwhite head. aroma is flowers, malts, ginger. flavor is faint ginger, malts, other herbal notes similar to tea. somewhat drinkable, fairly refreshing and not too sweet.

Bottle. Pours haze straw yellow with medium white head. Aroma is malt, dried ginger and hints of hay. Taste is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is watery with sparkling carbonation. Finish is a bit short but balanced sweet and bitter with notes of malt, ginger, lemon and with spicy hints of pepper and chili. A bit thin, but not bad.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, sweet gale (porse). Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet gale, sweet malt, pale malt, sugary.
