Can to tulip.
Appearance: beautiful thick orange color in the glass with a three finger white foamy head which slid off very nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy hoppiness, sweet mangoes, pine/resin, light tones of pepper and a touch of pineapple further underneath
Flavor: moderately blends the prior mentioned aromas very nicely; subtle aftertaste of the citrusy hops; pine/resiny character and pineapple
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper, some smoothness but also with a little bit of hop burn; finishes somewhat smooth but with some hop grip
Overall: for the most part, it's a pretty good NEDIPA, but part of me also needs to say some of that "hop burn" needs to be cleaned up before this could be a stellar beer.

Ridiculously hazy golden straw coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall tan head that stays afloat nicely, but is fairly large-bubbled. Aroma of citrus, resin, pine, flowers, oranges, mangoes, a touch of pepper, but a ton of malt and even more alcohol. Full-bodied; Rich malty flavour at first with some oranges, grapefruits, hay and pineapple noticeable, but the end is dominated by pepper, alcohol and very dry, floral elements. Aftertaste shows the grass and hay up front, a lot of malt body and resinous notes, but ending with a blend of alcohol and citrus fruits with the oranges the strongest. Overall, a strong hazy New England IPA that borders on the 'imperial' side, but definitely isn't an 'Imperial DOUBLE IPA' as the label suggests. Overall, a good enough beer, but not great, nor worth going out and trying to find...good enough if available easily. I sampled this sixteen ounce can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 17-April-2020 for US$2,99 sampled a few days later, at my house here in Washington, a few blocks away, on 26-April-2020.
