Aged for more than 16 months in various barrels and brought to life on October 6th during the 8th Anniversary celebration weekend. We gathered around the darkest corner of the cellar to conjure the perfect blend through a spectral tasting for the 8th Anniversary Series concluding beer and the latest Barrel Works creation.

CBJ tasting. Thanks to me for the bottle. Near clear dark brown beer m, small bubbly tan head, short lived. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft carbonation. Soft dark chocolate. Smooth bourbon barrel. Maybe a touch of red wine barrel. Soft finish. Fine. Doesn't deliver layered multi barrel complexity sadly but is quite quaffable.

Black and thick with thin head. Lots of oak in the aroma. Quite nutty too. Layers of flavours with loads of booze soaked raisins. Maple syrup adds a sweet and savoury element. Subtle jammy sweetness but also roasted bitterness.
