Welcome to Bravissimo - the alpha edition of our signature barrel-aged Bravo brown ale. The journey of this beer began when we brewed a special high-gravity variant of Bravo at our Propagator R&D brewhouse in Venice, California. After a year of maturation in bourbon barrels at our Paso Robles brewery, this small-batch barleywine was blended back into a lot of traditional barrel-aged Bravo. The result is a richer, stickier rendition of this Firestone Walker classic. A beautiful barrel character permeates the finished beer, while Bravo's signature maple sap and chocolate flavors reach another level.

Bottle: Poured a brown color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with faint residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes with some balanced residual sugar notes and some light vanilla and bourbon notes also perceptible. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable mix of brown/ale/barleywine with just enough barrel notes.

A reddish copper brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, dark fruits, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous character, alcohol warmth, aniseed, very nice.

Bottle.
A- Brown color, opaque liquid, minimal beige head.
A- Malt, brown sugar, wet wood.
F- Malty, treacle, oaky, mild booze, brown sugar, faint bitterness.
T- Medium body, slightly thin texture, slightly flat carbonation, malty astringent finish.
O- Eh. Okay. The barrel is present but the base beer just feels a bit week. A bit sappy and malty otherwise not a lot of complexity. Lacking a lot of depth and enjoyment with this one. Tasted like a bad scotch.

Aromas are dark malt, molasses, with hints of roast, spice and other dark fruit. Flavors are similar to nose and mild. Soft carbonation and decent body. A bit chalky. Didn't need to be aged.

Chestnut colour, medium sized creamy beige-ish ecru head; aroma of toffee, milk chocolate, dairy cream, vanilla, bourbon, whisky, nutmeg, some honey, raisins, slight cinnamon and cherry bonbon; taste is quite the same with some alcoholic spiciness; amazing one! Thanks so much for sharing, Kapusil!

12 oz bottle. Pours dark amber to brown with a one finger beige head with decent retention. Aroma is nutty, caramelly, dark fruit. Taste has a rich caramel soaked bourbon and nutty flavor profile. Somewhat thin mouthfeel. Excellent beer overall.

Rocky & creamy white head stayed on a reddish brown still body.
Molasses, raisin, malt & bourbon aroma.
Medium to full bodied, smooth & creamy with a thinner cloying back.
Toffee caramel, molasses, demerara sugar, bourbon & liquorice tastes with a tang on the fruity finish.
Excellent.

2023 editie (ik geloof niet dat er tot nu toe een andere is geweest). Kleur is diep roodbruin, met stukjes die erdoor drijven. Kraag is beige en zakt snel weg. Geur is zoet, bourbon, rood fruit, houtig, iets umami.
