Waxed 375 from Corti Bros. Pours clear, darkish mahogany with a transient beige head. Aroma of cherry, raisin, plum and maybe other dark fruits over a moderately toasty malt base. Flavor is very, very nice - matching the aroma with the addition of Demerara sugar. Not dry. Not bitter. But incredibly tasty. Excellent quad.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly fruity with raisin, cherry, plum, prune and date notes. Moderately strong notes of brown sugar, caramel and toasted bread with lighter notes of toffee and hints of chocolate. Light alcohol notes and port with faint oak notes. Pours a fairly clear brownish-auburn color with amber hues on the edges. Medium sized, moderately thick, tan head that recedes steadily toss small film that lingers on the edges. No lacing and long legs. Flavor is rather sweet with a super faint tartness. Fairly strong caramel malt notes with lighter notes of toasted bread and crackers. Lighter notes of brown sugar, toffee and hints of chocolate. Moderately strong fruity notes of raisin, grape, cherry, prune, plum, fig and date notes. Medium light alcohol notes and hints of oak. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid quad with great fruity notes, nice port character and great malt notes. Rather sweet but balanced by the fruit complexity. I personally wish the malt profile was a bit more toasty, but that's just me.
