A terrible pun. I can bearlee believe it (or should that be bearlieve it)... keg draught at Tønne, Leicester
Dark brown, ot very translucent with a small khaki/tan head. Aroma of caramel, char, treacle. A little bit of saccharin in the sweet taste. Light bittering hops nearer the finish which seem contraindicative of the burnt notes making it a little bit plastic. Light body, heavy carbonation. Reasonable.

A deep dark reddish brown ale with a thick creamy mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, licorice, light vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with dark fruits, light treacle, light butterscotch, very nice. Cask at Ship and Mitre.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is chocolate, caramel, dark malts, mellow roast. Taste comprises more of a Creme Brulee vibe, sweet malts, light roast, honey, chocolate, caramel, burnt sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Not bad.

17/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours very dark ruby brown with a large foamy beige head. Aroma of crème brulee, light roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, nut, burnt caramel. Medium sweetness, balanced nicely by good bitterness. Moderate body, slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Long bittersweet finish. Enjoyed this, one of the festival's cask highlights.
