Pours deep mahogany-tinged brown into a snifter. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Cocoa dusted ginger aromas. Warm with dark pit fruit, ginger and chocolate upfront turning to warm bourbon, vanilla and cinnamon dusted gingerbread in the medium length finish.

On tap at La Rovira, Barcelona. Dark brown, large brownish head. Chocolate, bit lactic, cocoa, spicy, syrupy, strong ginger. Quite sweet. Not easy to drink but ginger is nicely blended. Medium to full bodied.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2018) Black colour with lasting, creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of strong sweet coffee, chocolate, ginger, cinnamon and gingerbread cake. Malty, roasted taste with sweet espresso, gingerbread, cinnamon, ginger, chocolate and a gentle roasty bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Mainly about gingerbread and coffee, but really tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

26th March 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group in Chez Sophie. Thanks Paolo for this 750ml offering. Good tanned topping on this black bodied Stout. This is very much like a soggy Gingerbread Cake in both aroma and taste, liked it very much.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie March 18, thanks to Jeremy or Paolo, can't remember! Pours black with good foamy gingery tan head. Aroma presents some nice ginger and cinnamon. Taste is pretty much like soggy Jamaican ginger cake (and I agree with blackhaddock that it is specifically soggy), smooth, sweet and full on the palate. Although it's nice, I don't think I could manage much more than the sample I got.

2017 bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo GBS share. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige foam that lingers. Lots of ginger spice and baked bread on the nose. Ginger is well integrated. Like a liquid cookie. Balanced and not overly sweet or spicy. Cookie finish with good balance and carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gingerbread Stout on 24 Mar 2018 at 17:53 - Score: 8

Keg at Tap Craft Beer Bar, Singapore. Black with small beige head. Aroma of ginger marmelade and vanilla. Sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Ginger, vanilla, ginger, ginger and cinnamon . Boozy finish with some syrup. Seriously unbalanced beer cocktail. Is there malt in there?
