Pint of cask at Kings Arms, Luxulyan, Cornwall. Pours clear golden yellow with a loose white head. Aroma: light malty, moderate hoppy, floral, hay, grass. Taste: light to moderate sweet, light bitter, citrus, caramel, herbal, grass. Light bodied, soft carb, dry light bitter finish. A beautifully kept pint served close to the source

Cask. Really sweet and fruity with notes of pears and apples. Also a bit sour. Almost still.

English pale ale from Cornwall, thanks Jeremy ! Loose, off-white, moussy, thinnish head, quickly opening in the middle over an initially clear, warm orange-hued golden beer with lively sparkling ; lightly hazy with sediment. Aroma of bread crust, dried camomile, freshly cut red apple, moist white pepper, banana peel, toasted pinenuts, straw, hints of soap and iron. Cleanish fruity onset, red apple and unripe banana, restrained in sweetness with a light green pear sourishness to it, medium carbonated with minerally side notes, smooth mouthfeel. Clean, pleasantly bread crust-like maltiness with a very light nutty edge, leading to a mildly spicy, floral, leafy hop bitter finish, drying and grassy, quite long. Your typical modern EPA, well-hopped but in the classic noble way without explicit New World ambitions. Clean, to the point, correct and quite delicate, quite typical for this brewery I’d say.
