Where Weissbier meets IPA. Our original forays into Hopfenweisse were inspired by the legendary collaboration between Schneider Weisse and Brooklyn but it’s a style we’ve now become synonymous with. We adore the interplay between fruity, modern hops, aromatic yeast and a smooth, creamy body.

Can from Beer Zoo. Hazy golden body with a white head that holds. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of white pepper, custard creams and lime. Flavour of lime chutney, pithy orange and straw. Medium body with a smooth, frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Bright and delicious. I love the hopfenweisse style, I’m surprised they’re not more common.

Can, online from Cloudwater. Pours hazed pale orange to yellow with a decent white head. Aroma: wheat, grains, melon, mango, light floral, grassy. Taste: wheat, grains, yeast, orange pith, melon, mango, papaya, light pine, hint of clove. Medium body with spritzy carbonation. Either Cloudwater are the masters of this style or no other brewery is having a bash at brweing one.
