Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium beige head. A huge hot nose, milk chocolate, vanilla, roast. Rich, layers of chocolate, big hot bourbon. Clear malt base. Lovely.

500ml bottle. 2022 opened in 2024. Rather awesome Milk Stout. Massive chocolate tone. Barrel gives it some depth but the big, sweet adjuncts still dominate. Malted Milk ball flavor starts coming through more and more. Everything is right on, just a little pastrified for me.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of chocolate and dark grains with vanilla and bourbon notes supporting. Flavor has a nice combination of chocolate, bourbon and vanilla with a bit of roast supporting.

Poured from a 500 ml, 2022 vintage bottle. Aroma is rather chocolate forward with a solid vanilla and lactose backbone. Light roast notes with hints of honey and faint tobacco and leather notes. Light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Pours black with some dark brown hues on the edges with a large, thick, creamy, mocha head that recedes slowly to a small, creamy film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of chocolate malt notes. Moderate lactose and malted milk notes with a lighter vanilla character. Light roast with hints of caramel, toffee and honey. Medium bitterness and light alcohol notes. Light bourbon character with hints of oak. Hints of dark fruit including cherry and berries. Mouthfeel is fairly full bodied and sticky with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid eclipse with a nice adjunct character. Lots of chocolate notes with quite a bit of lactose and vanilla. Bourbon notes are light but complimentary. Base eclipse beer is present behind the adjuncts.
